Motuihe Island / Te Motu-a-Ihenga is a wonderful natural sanctuary only 30-minute ferry ride from central Auckland. The geo-located video tour guide is a partnership between Tuhura Ltd and Motuihe Island Restoration Trust. It offers video stories linked to the Island’s varied, colourful history and marks out walking tracks of significance.
TRAIL JOURNEYS APP
Highlights 50 video geo-located stories for cyclists or walkers travelling through the historic Central Otago Rail Trail. Available for a small fee when purchased on an App store, the App is offered free to people who make their cycle reservations through Trail Journeys. The unique footage brings to life people, places and events from the past that shaped the area, so enriching your connection with the land you traverse.
